It was very rainy overnight with heavy showers pushing across the region. The cold front moves across the region this morning with a thin line of showers and VERY windy conditions, and colder temperatures moving in behind it. Temperatures will continue to fall throughout the day.
WIND ADVISORY: In effect until 5 PM for all of Central and Eastern Kentucky.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Today, expect windy condition throughout the day with wind gusts up to 50 MPH with locally higher gusts. Highs will be in the upper 50s; however, the highs will happen in the morning hours then continue to decrease during the day.
Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with lows in the low 30s. It will still be breezy at times with gusts up to 30 MPH.
Thanksgiving will be dry with partly sunny to mostly sunny skies.
The travel home for your Thanksgiving travels may be wet with showers moving in late Friday and Saturday.
The same low pressure center will send wrap around snow showers to the Bluegrass Region Monday morning, minor accumulations could be possible on cars and grassy areas but will quickly melt with snow changing back to rain later in the day.
