Lexington crash sends motorcyclist to hospital with serious injuries

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A crash between a car and a motorcycle Wednesday night in Lexington sent two people to the hospital, one with serious injuries.

Lexington Police say the crash happened around 9 p.m. on North Broadway and 12th Street. The motorcyclist was driving inbound and the other driver was going outbound on North Broadway when they collided right at 12th Street.

Police have the intersection closed as the collision reconstruction unit investigates. Officers are detouring traffic to 12th Street.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The other driver involved was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
