Laurel County man accused of holding a woman against her will for a week


LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man was arrested Wednesday in Laurel County after a woman showed up at a Walmart, claiming a man had held against her will for a week.

Sheriff’s deputies say the woman told them 35-year-old Elmo Carroll imprisoned her and assaulted her several times on north highway 1223 in Corbin.

Deputies say they noticed the woman had blackened eyes and marks all over.

They went to find Carroll on 1223, where they say they found he had locked himself in a room, but after a short struggle, deputies were able to arrest him.
