WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Beacon of Hope in Winchester is in desperate need of donations for winter and it’s asking the community for help.
The executive director, Michele Bradford says the shelter needs coats, scarves, hats, and gloves.
She says as the temperatures drop, typically there’s more people that need help.
Right now, the shelter is housing about 65 residents and there’s not enough winter clothes to go around.
Bradford says she needs all sizes of coats from kids to adults. She adds that if you make a donation, please make sure the zippers work and the buttons are on the jackets.
You can drop off any donations at the shelter.
