LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One major reason for President Trump’s visit is to stump for Governor Matt Bevin in his re-election bid.
The republican incumbent is running for governor and will take on challenger Andy Beshear in Tuesday’s election, and libertarian John Hicks.
Bevin and Beshear finished a series of debates last week. Topics discussed were abortion, school choice efforts, abortion, casino gambling and education funding.
Bevin says he supports charter school development while Beshear opposes them saying they’ll divert funding away from public schools.
