What you need in order to vote


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-When you go to vote, you will need proof of identification.

Acceptable types of I.D.’s are: being a personal acquaintance of a precinct officer, driver’s license, social security card, a county-issued ID card approves by the State Board of Elections, U.S government-issued ID, state-issued ID with picture, credit card, and another form of ID with both a picture and signature.

Polls will open at 6 a.m. local time, and close at 6 p.m. local time.

If you are in line before 6 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
