The jury found Mulazim guilty of intentional murder principal or complicit, meaning they were unsure if he was the one who fired the gun or was complicit.

The remaining five charges Mulazim is guilty of are two robbery charges, a second degree assault charge and two receiving stolen property charges.

In 2014, Jonathan Price and his wife Megan were out at Austin City Saloon celebrating Megan’s birthday.

The couple was waiting by the car in the parking lot to go home when Mulazim and his nephew attempted to rob them, shooting Megan in the leg and shooting Jonathan in the back.

Mulazim’s nephew, Quincino Canada, previously went on trial for Price’s murder Summer 2018. He was acquitted.

Monday night, when Price’s wife and family heard the verdict there were audible gasps in the courtroom followed by tears and hugs.

The recommended sentencing for the murder charge, two robber charges and two smaller charges regarding stolen items is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
