RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- Richmond Police say officers were out searching near missing mother Ella Jackson’s home Tuesday.
The 48-year-old has been missing more than a week.
Police say they were looking near Jackson’s home today because it’s standard operating procedure, not because officers received a tip.
According to officers, Jackson was last seen at her home off Westwood Drive in Richmond. They say her phone, keys and car were left at the home.
She was wearing khaki-colored cut shorts, black and white shoes, black 3/4 sleeve Under Armor shirts and gold hoop earrings.
Police say they’ve been told by family she communicated with them regularly and all of a sudden, stopped.
“We talked everyday and then Saturday she said ‘I’ll talk to you tomorrow’ and I didn’t hear from her,” says Jason Hans, Ella’s ex-husband.
They share an adult son together, Phillip. He says he’s been taking this really hard.
“He admitted that he’s been just crying for two days and doesn’t know what to do and ya know. I’ve been doing the same,” says Hans with tears in his eyes.
Jackson also has a little boy with her current husband. We reached out to him, but haven’t heard back.
Police say Jackson’s family has been cooperative.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Richmond Police at (859) 624-4776.
