MCCRAKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman in McCraken County who was already in jail is now facing animal cruelty charges.
McCraken County deputies were notified Tuesday that animals belonging to 42-year old Jennifer Campbell had not been cared for since her arrest on Friday.
Deputies say Campbell refused to give animal control officers permission to go to her home and care for the animals so they got a search warrant.
They say when they went into the home Tuesday afternoon they found three dead chihuahuas and 40 others all in poor health.
Also charged in the case was 66-year old Harold Campbell.
