RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s domestic violence awareness month and a non-profit is trying to show people how much it impacts our communities.
Outside of the Madison County courthouse are 33 shirts.
Each one represents a person who died because of domestic violence.
Every shirt says a victim’s name, their age, where they’re from, and how they died.
“I think this is such a visual statement for people to really see it’s not just names we read out. It’s actual people,” said Suzanne Howell, Hope’s Wings Assistant Director
A rally in downtown Richmond took place Tuesday evening to honor the lives and raise awareness about domestic violence.
