FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Wednesday, a judge in Kentucky denied Christian “Kit” Martin’s request to lower his $3 million bond.

Martin is charged in the deaths of three people in 2015 in Christian County. According to police, 59-year-old Calvin Phillips was found shot to death in the cellar of his home. The bodies of 58-year-old Pamela Phillips and 63-year-old Edward Dansereau were found a few miles away in a cornfield inside her burned car.

While authorities have not given a motive for the killings or said what led them to believe Martin was responsible, police say one of the victims was set to testify against Martin at a military court martial.

Officers arrested Martin earlier this year as he prepared to pilot an American Airlines flight.

Martin has maintained that he is innocent. His daughter says she believes him.

Martin entered a not guilty plea in May.
