Lexington PD make multiple arrest in violent crime initiative

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department recent launched an initiative to address violent crime. Officers from multiple until teamed up with personnel from the ATF, FBI, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Marshals Service, and Kentucky Probation and Parole as part of the highly focused initiative, along with prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Commonwealth’s Attorney office and County Attorney office.

For the past two weeks the agencies worked together to identify and locate individuals suspected of actively engaging in narcotics trafficking or being connected to shooting incidents.

The collective efforts resulted in:

  • 13 felony arrests of nine adults and four juveniles
  • 15 handguns seized (including 3 stolen and one with an extended magazine)
  • 787 grams of fentanyl (approximately 1.73 pounds) and approximately 10 grams of cocaine seized

Several of the individuals charged are associates and are believed to be responsible for numerous violent crimes across Lexington.

Kashajuan Lyvers, 23

  • Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  • Receiving Stolen Property (firearm)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance (suspected fentanyl derivatives)
  • Criminal Mischief 3rd

Allante Brown, 23

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon by Prior Deadly Weapon Felony Offender
  • Violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO
  • Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon

Tru Braddock, 19

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Fleeing/Evading Police 1st
  • Receiving Stolen Property (firearm)
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance (suspected fentanyl derivatives)

Tyzon Edwards, 21

  • Aggravated Trafficking in Controlled Substance (fentanyl derivatives)
  • Criminal Mischief 1st
  • Criminal Mischief 3rd
  • Fleeing/Evading Police 1st
  • Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon Tampering with Physical Evidence Parole Violation

Joshua W. Sargent, 30

  • Assault 2nd
  • Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  • Receiving Stolen Property (firearm)
  • Theft by Unlawful Taking

Damien Porter, 20

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon

Jeremy Duncan, 26

  • Aggravated Trafficking in Controlled Substance (fentanyl)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon

Kaleb Henry, 18

  • Wanton Endangerment 1st
