LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The City of Comargo is receiving $69,290 from the state to resurface Oldham Road and repair sidewalks on Camargo Road, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Mayor Clayton Neal identified these roads as being among the most critical in the city.
Projects submitted to the Department of Rural and Municipal Aid for discretionary fund consideration were evaluated by the KYTC district staff to assess the condition of roads and determine the most critical needs based on factors such as safety, economic impact, and traffic volumes.
The City is responsible for all phases of work, and KYTC will reimburse the city for the projects.
Resurfacing and sidewalk repair work will address:
• Oldham Road (CS 2021) – resurfacing 0.604 miles
• Camargo Road (US 460) – sidewalk repairs 0.800 miles
