LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 31st International Grand Championships wrapped up Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park.
The competition featured Rocky Mountain horses but also included others in the opening ceremonies.
The Montgomery County 4H Wranglers Drill Team entertained audiences inside the covered arena.
Outside, the ‘Ride a Rocky’ was back by popular demand this year. Children and adults took advantage of the opportunity to ride a Rocky Mountain horse thanks to volunteers.
There was also cowboy mounted shooting, side saddle demonstrations, pole bending and more.
The competition itself included hundreds of horses and riders from around the globe who competed in a number of categories. A youth scholarship was also handed out.
