LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington woman has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly making several false bomb threats to 911.
On Thursday, a federal grand jury in Lexington returned a three-count indictment against 31-year-old Crystal Brotherton.
Brotherton is accused of calling Lexington’s 911 system and telling the operator there were bombs at multiple businesses at an intersection off New Circle Road.
The indictment says Brotherton made three calls between June 20 and 21, demanding the businesses be evacuated or else people “would die.”
Brotherton could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
