LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A semi trailer caught on fire causing two lanes on I-64 east to close early Monday morning, according to Lexington Police.
It happened just after 2 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Clark County line.
Police say the driver pulled over after smelling smoke that started in the trailer.
They say the left lane is currently open for traffic use, but the right and middle lanes are closed while crews work to remove the trailer.
Officials say that lane is expected to remain closed until 8 a.m.
Police say the driver did not suffer any injuries.
