LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the giant blue crane in downtown Lexington that was supposed to removed this weekend was running behind because of wind delays throughout the weekend.
The Herald reported that Ralph Coldiron the project manager for City Center said, “We’re dealing with some high wind conditions. We kind of have to pull back for safety reasons.”
The herald says fourteen trailers were brought in to carry the pieces of the two hundred and twenty-foot crane.
This process shut down the left two lanes of the main street, the newspaper says.
the crane has been up for about six years.
