Woman accused of trying to set Laurel County home on fire


LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Deputies charge a Laurel County woman with arson after they say she tried to set a house on fire over the weekend.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a home off Billy Mays Road on Saturday night.

They say there was a complaint about someone trying to light the home on fire and smoke coming from a bedroom.

Deputies arrested 56-year-old Rondah Westerfield and charged her with arson and alcohol intoxication.
