UPDATE: Coroner IDs woman found near KY River, foul play suspected


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police is investigating after a woman’s body was found near the Kentucky River.

Tuesday, the Madison County Coroner identified her body as 39-year-old April D. Arnett of Lexington.

More information about cause of death is pending.

Saturday night police say they blocked off the area near the Old Clays Ferry Bridge on Old Lexington Road, also known as Highway 2328, on the Fayette and Madison county lines.

Troopers say foul play is expected.
