PINEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Employees at Pineville Community Hospital protested outside the facility Wednesday as they and the hospital face an uncertain future.
The hospital’s owner filed for bankruptcy last year. Earlier this year, Medicaid and Medicare pulled out and just yesterday, the City of Pineville stopped funding the day-to-day operations to keep the facility open.
Employees want answers about the hospital’s future and potential new ownership. As of this writing, the hospital is no longer providing any services.
