WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A puppy found Friday morning locked in cage on the side of a road died Saturday.
The Clark County Animal Shelter is still looking for the person who left the sick puppy.
A passerby found the dog on Ruckerville Road around 7 a.m. and called for help. It’s believed the puppy was dropped off between 6:30-7:00 a.m.
The shelter says the puppy was unable to stand on its own and was transported to a veterinarian. She suffered from what appears to be an ongoing skin condition and possibly parvovirus.
If you have any information that may help locate the person responsible, the shelter asks you call (859) 737-0053.
