MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – Several roads will be resurfaced in Montgomery County thanks to more than a half-million dollars from the state.
The county will receive $575,740 to repair the following roads:
Old Owingsville Road; Old Nest Egg Road; Oldham Road; Harpers Ridge Road; Howell Drennen Road and Prewitt Grassy Road, according to the state.
The money will allow for nearly seven miles of pavement resurfacing work to be completed on county roads that are experiencing increased traffic volume and serve as school bus routes.
Montgomery County Judge-Executive Wally Johnson identified the roads in most need of repair, according to the state.
The Montgomery County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the road work.
