More rain for Wednesday, with hot and muggy conditions ahead

Overview:  Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue through the work week, with hot and muggy conditions for the end of the week. The remnants of Barry will slowly move from the Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley through midweek, bring tropical moisture into Kentucky. Any storms that develop will be capable of heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding issues. Some storms may also contain gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s for Wednesday, followed by 90s Thursday into the weekend. With temperatures expected to be in the low to mid 90s Friday into the weekend, and dew points above 70 degrees, heat indices will be 100 degrees or more at times.

TONIGHT:  Rain showers from the remnants of Barry will continue to move across the region, with an overnight low of 73 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue, with a high temperature of 85 degrees. Heavy rainfall will be possible, which may lead to flash flooding issues.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A few rain showers will be possible, with a low temperature of 72 degrees.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will be possible, with high temperatures around 90 degrees.
