More rain on the way that could lead to flash flooding issues

Overview:  Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue through the work week, with hot and muggy conditions for the end of the week. The remnants of Barry will slowly move from the Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley through midweek, bring tropical moisture into Kentucky. Any storms that develop will be capable of heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding issues. Some storms may also contain gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by 90s Thursday into the weekend. With temperatures expected to be in the low to mid 90s Friday into the weekend, and dew points above 70 degrees, heat indices will may be 100 degrees or more at times.

TONIGHT:  Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with a low of 72 degrees. Patchy dense fog will be possible overnight.

TUESDAY: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop throughout the day, as the remnants of Barry will be moving into the region. Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 88 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Rain showers from the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry will continue to move across the region, with an overnight low of 72 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will continue, with a high temperature of 84 degrees. Heavy rainfall will be possible, which may lead to flash flooding issues.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A few rain showers will be possible, with a low temperature of 72 degrees.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will be possible, with high temperatures around 90 degrees.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures develop, with a low of 73 degrees.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with a high temperature of 92 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and mild and muggy conditions develop, with a low of 74 degrees.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with a hot and muggy high temperature of 93 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and muggy conditions continue, with a low temperature of 73 degrees.

SUNDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with a high temperature of 91 degrees.
