LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for a young girl killed in what police say was a drunk driving crash in Lexington.
Police say 10-year-old Alexia Gomez Hernandez was in a car with her parents and three siblings when Sequoyah Collins hit them at the intersection of Lansdowne and Tates Creek Road around 3 a.m. on July 3.
Another child was critically injured.
Collins was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Memorial services for Hernandez will be held Wednesday, July 17 at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary located at 601 Hill N. Dale Road.
Mass will take place from 6-7 p.m.
Visitation will follow from 7-9 p.m.
The family requests all guests that attend wear white in honor of Alexia.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to their GoFundMe account to help with burial expenses.
