Tracking storms and where potential TS Barry may go

Overview:  Hot and muggy conditions continue this week, with high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Rain chances increase Thursday with a few rain showers a cold front moving through the region. A Marginal Risk for severe as been posted for portions of central and all of eastern Kentucky for Thursday with the main threat being damaging winds. Expect drier air after the front moves through as we watch potential tropical storm Barry in the Gulf of Mexico, the current path appears to hit the New Orleans area the move north to northeast pushing towards Kentucky by Sunday night into early next week.

TONIGHT:  Partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures continue, with a low of 70 degrees.

THURSDAY: Widely scattered storms will be possible, with a high temperature of 88 degrees. There is a marginal risk for severe weather; a few storms could be strong to severe with the greatest threat being damaging winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies develop, with a warm high temperature of 86 degrees.
