Deputies take 4 into custody for string of car break-ins in Georgetown


GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Three juveniles and an adult were arrested following a string of car break-ins and thefts in two Georgetown neighborhoods.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, starting early Monday morning, people in the Harbor Village and Mallard Point subdivisions began calling in to report their vehicles were broken into and, in many cases, items were stolen.

Deputies say the suspects were caught on surveillance video, attempting to open car doors and stealing items from vehicles.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office announced the arrest of 18-year-old Tristan Clark and three juveniles.

Deputies say they recovered several wallets, purses, backpacks and other stolen items.

They also recovered a stolen firearm and a small amount of marijuana, according to deputies.
