LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Comedian and “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah will be coming to Lexington at the end of August to commemorate 70 years of racial integration at the University of Kentucky.
According to the University, Lyman T. Johnson enrolled 70 years ago this fall, resulting in the first racially integrated class.
The first of several year long events honoring integration will take place 9 a.m. Friday, August 30th. Noah will speak at the assembly.
In addition to his television work, Noah wrote “Born A Crime,” an autobiography about his childhood as a bi-racial boy growing up in apartheid South Africa.
