LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County sheriff’s office accuses a man of using a baseball bat to hit a woman and a three-year-old child.
Sheriff John Root says his office arrested 26-year-old Dustin Patterson on Monday. According to the sheriff, this began as Patterson was arguing with his girlfriend. Patterson is accused of hitting her with a baseball bat, and also hitting her three-year-old son, before leaving.
Root says Patterson went to another home, off Chapel Road, and forced his way in, while claiming people were trying to kill him. Root and deputies arrested Patterson there. Root says at the time of the arrest, Patterson appeared to be under the influence.
Patterson is accused of wanton endangerment, assault, burglary, public intoxication, and other charges.
