WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A crash involving a semi truck shut down part of I-64 in Woodford County Friday.
The accident happened on the westbound side of I-64 near mile marker 61 around 5:50 a.m.
According to the Versailles Police Department, the semi truck driver was traveling in the left lane when the car in front of him tried to stop and make a U-turn.
When the semi driver tried to change lanes to avoid hitting the car, the load in his truck shifted, causing it to overturn.
The load in the truck spilled onto the roadway.
The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to police.
Police say the driver of the other vehicle did not stop.
