PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ/APPALACHIAN-NEWS EXPRESS) – A Pike County burglary suspect was arrested after jumping out of a moving pickup truck during a police chase, according to the Appalachian-News Express.
The report says on Monday, after refusing to pull over for police, 33-year old Nathan Worrix, jumped from the truck and ran along the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River.
Police were able to eventually capture him on the other side of the river, according to the newspaper report.
Police recovered more than $1,000 worth of stolen tools in the truck Worrix was driving, according to the report. Investigators say the tools were stolen from a home last weekend.
A passenger in the pickup truck was also arrested. He was identified as Bruce Williamson, of Virgie, according to the newspaper report.
Both men were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, according to the report.
