PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A boil water advisory has been issued in Pike County and thousands are being affected.
The Mountain Water District issued the boil water advisory on Friday.
The district says it is because of water treatment issues caused by recent flooding and river conditions.
According to the Appalachian News Express, more than 4,374 customers are impacted.
Customer in the following areas are being told to boil their water before use: Marrowbone Creek, Ferrells Creek, Feds Creek, Mouthcard, Grapevine, Virgie, Dorton, Robinson Creek, Kimper, Phelps, Stopover, Elkhorn Creek and Elkhorn City.
