LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Pike County man accused of sex trafficking has pleaded guilty to federal charges.
The Herald-Leader newspaper says 55-year-old Ernest Ray admitted to recruiting girls under the age of 18 for sex acts and paid them with alcohol, money and drugs.
He entered his plea in U.S. District Court Friday, according to the newspaper.
The newspaper says the plea deal eliminated drug trafficking charges filed against him earlier this year.
Each charge carries a recommended sentence of no less than 10 years in prison.
Ray is scheduled to be sentenced October 11 in Lexington.
