Overview: A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect until 11 am Saturday. A round to strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move through Central and Eastern Kentucky from 8 pm Friday to 12 am Saturday, with another round of storms expected around 5 am to 9 am Saturday morning. More scattered rain and storms are possible throughout the weekend and into Monday. Drier weather finally returns by Wednesday of next week.
TONIGHT: Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop for early tonight, and again around daybreak Saturday morning. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning will be the biggest threats. Overnight low temperatures will be around 65 degrees.
SATURDAY: Morning thunderstorms are expected to develop, with scattered rain and a few storms expected throughout the day Saturday. Saturday afternoon high temperatures will be around 80 degrees.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers will linger, with an overnight low of 67 degrees..
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy skies continue, with the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and high temperatures around 85 degrees.
