Lexington-based Tempur Sealy plans to add 700 U.S. positions

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Tempur Sealy International announced plans Wednesday to add approximately 700 new U.S. employees to meet growing demand for its Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster and Sealy mattresses and bedding products.

According to the Lane Report, the company announced Tuesday it had entered into long-term supply agreements with Mattress Firm and Big Lots. Both agreements are expected to be completed by early in the first quarter of 2020.

The company had previously announced and extension into European retail with Better Bed Holding. The launch of new products with Better Bed Holding is expected to be complete by the end of 2019 and will include over 100 stores.

The new positions include management, operations and logistics, professional sales and other positions, and are spread across the country.
