BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Breathitt County Sheriff’s Office released more details on the deaths of two people found in a home Monday.
The sheriff says the bodies of 57-year-old James Hale and 54-year-old Alice Herald were discovered by Hale’s brother, who became concerned after not hearing from them for a few days.
According to the sheriff, it appears Herald shot Hale, then got a different gun and killed herself.
Investigators don’t have a motive.
The sheriff says they believe the two were dead for five to ten days before being discovered.
The bodies were taken to the State Medical Examiners Office for autopsies Monday.
