Strong storms possible late Wednesday, with a Flash Flood Watch through Thursday

Overview:  A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect now through Thursday, with more rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms likely this week. Some storms may also be capable of damaging winds, frequent lightning, and small hail. High temperatures will generally stay around 80 degrees through Thursday, with low to mid 80s Friday into the weekend. Friday will be our driest day of the week, yet a few isolated rain showers will still be possible. This weekend will feature isolated to widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms at times, yet it is not expected to be a “washout”.

TONIGHT:  Cloudy skies and a few rain showers linger, with a low temperature of 67 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies continue, with more rounds of rain showers and thunderstorms, and high temperatures around 81 degrees. Some storms may be strong to severe, especially late Wednesday into Wednesday night.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms continue, with an overnight low of 68 degrees.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms linger, especially earlier into the afternoon, with a high temperature of 78 degrees.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers will be possible, with an overnight low of 62 degrees.

FRIDAY: Friday, June 21st is the summer solstice officially at 11:54 am (EDT). A few rain showers will be possible, with a high temperature of 83 degrees.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy skies develop, with a few rain showers possible, and an overnight low of 66 degrees.

SATURDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies develop, with the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and high temperatures around 85 degrees.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and a few rain showers will be possible, with an overnight low of 70 degrees..

SUNDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies continue, with the chance for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and high temperatures around 87 degrees.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and mild and muggy conditions continue, with a low of 71 degrees.

MONDAY: Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms redevelop, with a high of 84 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: A few rain showers will be possible, with an overnight low temperature of 69 degrees.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few isolated rain showers and storms will be possible, with a high temperature of 83 degrees.
