Georgetown officer saves bat from a roof

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Georgetown Police Department is calling one of their officers a caped crusader after saving a baby bat that had fallen from a roof.

The police department says officer, Teresa Hollon contacted the Kentucky Wildlife Rehabilitation Center after rescuing the bat and they will take care of it until it’s strong enough to live on its own.

The police department is reminding you to not touch a bat when you see one because bats can spread rabies.
