DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The new 2nd Street bridges for cars and pedestrians are open, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The cabinet says there is still some work left to be finished so drivers should still be careful around the project.
Danville Public Works should be finishing work on sidewalks and landscaping. The department is also supposed to paint a crosswalk, according to the transportation cabinet.
Jave Contracting replaced the existing bridge with a 24′ wide steel reinforced concrete bridge for cars and a 6’8″ wide steel reinforced concrete pedestrian bridge.
