ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Four men accused in a home invasion that left a woman and her unborn baby dead have been indicted in connection to both of their deaths.
Derrick Morris, 33, Robert Jones, 20, Austin Chilton, 19, and Jonathan Harley, 20, are all indicted on a charge of complicity to commit murder and complicity to commit fetal homicide.
Kentucky State Police say Morris assaulted a man during a home invasion on Saffell Street in Lawrenceburg back in April.
Investigators say Harley arranged to purchase drugs and, shortly after he arrived at the home, Morris and Chilton forced their way inside, while Jones waited outside in the getaway car.
Investigators say Morris hit the man inside the home repeatedly with a firearm and, at one point, the gun went off and a bullet hit Lauryn Kinne in the chest.
She was in the third trimester of her pregnancy and she and her unborn child died at an area hospital.
Along with murder and fetal homicide, the suspects are also indicted on charges of burglary and robbery.
