SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Scott County Emergency Management says parks at Elkhorn Creek opened at 1 p.m. today for recreational water sports.
Lab results say there is a “high normal” concentration, but daily water testing will continue.
Emergency management recommends no extended contact with the water until it returns to its pre-release condition.
SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Crews in Scott County are warning people to stay away from the water.
The Georgetown Scott County 911 center says all boat ramps and access points were closed due to a sewage line break.
It released an estimated 100,000 gallons of sewage into the water.
The center says the area will remain closed Sunday night and Monday.
This includes Oser landing, Cardome boat ramp, Great Crossing Park, and Robinson Dam.
No one can be in the water until testing is completed and the water is safe.
