Tracking storms and your Memorial Day forecast

Overview:  A stationary front just to the north of Kentucky in association with the warm moist air that has filtered into the Bluegrass as triggered a showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon. These storms will continue into the evening hours with the main threat being strong winds, small hail, and torrential rain. The Storm Prediction Center has central and eastern Kentucky under a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather Sunday and a MARGINAL RISK for severe weather Monday.

TONIGHT:  Mostly cloudy skies with a few rain showers or thunderstorms possible, with a low of 65 degrees.

MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY: The warm and muggy conditions continue for Memorial Day, with a high of 87 degrees, and the chance for a few rain showers and thunderstorms.

MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers linger, with a low of 68 degrees.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies as hot temperatures develop, with a high of 90 degrees.



TUESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures develop, with a low of 69 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few thunderstorms will be possible, with a high temperature of 90 degrees.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A few rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with an overnight low temperature of 69 degrees.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies and showers likely in the weather forecast, with a high temperature of 81 degrees.
