Scott County water access closed

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to the Scott County Emergency Management Agency, Elkhorn Creek Water Access will be closed at Oser Landing, Great Crossing, and Cardone until tomorrow evening at the earliest.

People go boating and swimming from that access.

The EMA says it’s closed because a sewer main break has released an estimated 100,000 gallons of sewage into Elkhorn Creek.

The water has to be tested before people can go in it again.
