Rain wreaks havoc on area regional baseball tournaments

Bad weather causes postponements and schedule changes


LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Rain and thunderstorms were in the forecast for Sunday afternoon, but area baseball teams still took to the diamond for regional tournaments.
As you’ll see in the highlights above, Henry Clay and Tates Creek began at 4 PM, but got halted just over a half an inning in.
Not too far away, Tates Creek and Western Hill were battling only to be halted as well.
The Blue Devils will pick back up Monday at 2 PM

Scott County and Madison Central are slated to continue at noon on Monday.
Since one game was moved to Monday, the semi-finals and finals for the 11th Region will now take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
