BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kids from all around the world are in Kentucky to share their talents and stories.
All of the kids are a part of a child sponsorship program called Children of the World.
A family in America can sponsor a child and help them with basic needs and their education.
The choir’s team leader says many of the kids come from poverty.
The choir chooses 15 people from the program to come on an American tour for ten months and advocate for other kids in similar situations.
This year, all the kids are from Uganda, Philippines, or Nepal.
“I can learn from them and they can learn from me,” said Aronn, choir participant.
There is only two weeks left in the tour and only one stop left in Kentucky where they’ll perform in Franklin.
Once the tour is over, the kids return back to their home countries and the program offers them a scholarship to help pay for college.
