UPDATE: Kentucky Softball’s Super Regional matchup with Washington has been postponed to Sunday due to rain. If necessary, they will play a double header.

Full release from UK Athletics:

There were numerous inaccurate reports, including on television, that tonight’s Kentucky/Washington was postponed and moved to Sunday. Those are not correct.

Game two of the Seattle Super Regional will proceed as scheduled for an 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT start time on ESPN2. There is no doubleheader on Sunday, as inaccurately reported on numerous outlets.

SEATTLE, Wa. (UK Athletics) – Due to rain all day in the Seattle area, game two of the 2019 Seattle Super Regional has been pushed back to an 11 p.m. ET start time. The game will still air on ESPN2 and the ESPN app as schedule with Mark Neely and Danielle Lawrie on the call.

Washington won game one of the super regional on Friday night with a 3-0 win. Kentucky will need to win the next two games to advance to the Women’s College World Series.
