Car fire leads to police chase in Lexington


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police say around noon Saturday afternoon they got a call about a car on fire near Man O’ War and Winchester Road.

Flames were all over the car when firefighters arrived.

According to police, a witness told them a man set the car on fire and then jumped in a white van.

Officers chased the van and eventually stopped it where Liberty Road intersects with New Circle.

There were two people inside, but police say they haven’t made any arrests.

An arson investigator was called out to look at the car.
