The barn and everything in it was destroyed.

The volunteers of the Anderson County Fire Department were dispatched to an early morning structure fire on Burgin Road near Glensboro. The call was dispatched at 4:02am and units responded from all six stations. Hickory Grove’s Engine 55 was the first apparatus on scene and the large barn was fully involved upon arrival. The barn was full of equipment as well as a large tractor. The fire was contained to the barn and was kept from a nearby residential trailer. The barn was a total loss, but the owner was thankful for our response and for the fire being contained to the barn. 12,000 gallons of water later our crews are tired, but are thankful for the chance to serve the taxpayers and citizens of Anderson County.
