LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A jury has recommended the maximum sentence sentence for a Lawrence County man found guilty of raping a child.
Kentucky State Police say the jury returned the verdict against 54-year-old James Gartin on Thursday.
Gartin was convicted of rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 12.
Gartin was arrested in 2017.
He will be formally sentenced July 12.
