SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Expect long travel delays Wednesday and Thursday on Burning Fork Road (KY 1888) leading up to the intersection with the Mountain Parkway and KY 1415 in Salyersville, due to construction, according to the state.
Crews will be working in traffic to open the new Burning Fork Road leading up to the intersection.
After the new road is open, the Burning Fork Road approach will intersect the Parkway at the new traffic signal opposite KY 1415.
Drivers are encouraged to take Burning Fork Road East to KY 114 on Wednesday and Thursday to avoid the expected delays, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
This is part of a 46-mile improvement project on the Mountain Parkway.
